Burlington / Elon
The city of Burlington in Alamance County, NC describes itself as a diverse and robust community willing to invest in itself. Burlington is located at the intersection of major highways and served by air and rail. It is already ranked in the top twenty cities by population in North Carolina, and there are three million people within an hour’s drive. Combining the land available for development with the labor and transportation resources already in place, Burlington is poised for economic development.
In addition, the neighboring city of Elon bleeds into Burlington and is seeing an increase in new retail establishments and housing developments. It is also home to Elon University with over 7,000 students.
Burlington has much to attract residents, but it is in need of a growing Reformed gospel presence. The current PCA church pastor and congregation in Burlington happily invite a new church plant in town, as there is plenty of room for this.
In addition, the Piedmont Triad Presbytery is invested in the growth of the gospel in the region and will provide financial, educational, and relational support to plant a church that will reach Burlington and Elon.
