Asheboro

Although Asheboro suffered an economic downturn in the 2000s due to a decline in its traditional manufacturing industries amid increasing competition from overseas, it has been recognized for downtown redevelopment initiatives and is also well-known for its proximity to the wonderful North Carolina Zoo.

However, the greatest boom to the area will be from a Toyota Supersite currently under construction in Randolph County. Over the next few years, more than 2,100 new jobs will be filled for this car battery plant, and even more jobs are expected, as companies that support the supply chain for Toyota open their doors in the vicinity.

As the area is transformed by an influx of professionals and factory workers to fill the higher-income jobs being created, our desire is to reach the new families as well as the current residents. With leadership jobs being filled now and production and maintenance positions available in early 2023, now is the time to plant a church in Asheboro.

The Piedmont Triad Presbytery is committed to seeing the gospel thrive once again in Asheboro, North Carolina and throughout the region.
